Universal Control Box, a 3D-printed ESP32 enclosure

Getting started

Step-by-step getting started guide Frequently asked questions

Not sure which product to use? The What to use table in the Products section gives a quick answer based on your setup (number of LEDs, fixture type, and use case).

For hardware, the Buying guide lists microcontrollers, shields, and peripherals we have tested in real projects.

Flashing firmware: the easiest way to get started is the WLED web installer (Chrome or Edge, not Safari). For WLED-MM or MoonLight, download the latest .bin from the GitHub releases and flash with the ESP flasher by srg74.

Support the project

MoonModules is entirely volunteer-run. If you find the software useful, there are two ways to help:

Financially: a PayPal donation goes directly towards hardware for testing, PCB prototypes, and keeping the lights on.

Donate via PayPal

By contributing: code, documentation, hardware testing, or bug reports are all equally valuable. See the Contributing guide for how to get involved.
